they offer both instore and online. Overall helped communicate and embody the store's mission and ideals to the

- Teaching kids during summer about our oceans and waterways and to respect mother nature. I instructed on how to surf, boogie board, and body surf. I provided critical ocean knowledge in my instruction for kids on what to look for to be safe, and what to do if caught in a rip tide. Learned CPR and have conducted a rescue before.
Heal the Bay, Santa Monica CA. — Volunteer
2008 - PRESENT
- I’ve volunteered in various parts of Heal the Bay’s non profit organization since I was eight. I started in the offices helping with packaging and making buttons etc… In high school I started becoming a beach/creek captain, speaker, and aquarium volunteer. I’m still involved today helping teach the public about our oceans/watersheds and why it’s vital we care for them.

CONSERVATION WORK
The Grateful Event: Holistic Retreat, Art-Walk Debut, and Fundraiser for Chumash Heritage National Marine Sanctuary, Cambria CA. 2023 — To help protect/preserve California Central Coast and marine life
- A three day event supporting local small business owners and artists in Cambria, California. As well as bringing awareness/fundraising for the proposed Chumash Heritage National Marine Sanctuary. CHNMS representative and guest speaker PJ Webb, The Chumash Tribal Advisor, presented valuable information on the Marine Sanctuary and how we can get involved. She took our group of attendees on an excursion to Fiscalini Ranch Preserve to see the starting point of the proposed area for the Marine Sanctuary protections.
PADI Reef Renewal Diver — 2023
- Scuba diving certification. Learned how to clean/care for the coral nursery, and out plant coral onto the reefs in Bonaire. As well as, detecting signs of disease and predators to the Elkhorn and Staghorn corals. We also learned how vital the fragile coral reef ecosystems are, and how we can get involved to help save them as Reef Renewal Divers/volunteers.
PADI AWARE Shark Conservation Diver — 2023
- Scuba diving certification. Bringing more awareness about sharks and
their vital importance to our global ecosystems. As well as being a shark
steward helping to protect them.
Design For Non-Human Kinds: Elephants 2022 — The
Elephant Sanctuary in Hohenwald, Tennessee
- During the spring semester of 2022 at The School of the Art Institute of
Chicago I participated in a design course to help retired elephants in
captivity with there rehabilitation process. My two woman team and I, and
with The elephant Sanctuary staffs scientific knowledge, we came up with
an elephant specific design of a foot peddle called “Drumbo” for Sissy the
elephant. Helping facilitate vibration through her foot to help soothe her.
This foot pedal prototype I helped fabricate with steel and wood, is being
used currently, and has been improved upon by The Elephant Sanctuary
staff in Tennessee.
Ice Challenge Fundraiser 2019 — To help save elephants in
Thailand
- I partnered with Wim Hof the Iceman and Bring the Elephant Home in
Thailand to create a 5 day fundraiser and art installation to help save the
elephants. I created a life size elephant head with hemp and north american
sticks and brought it with me to Thailand to have the 30 participants from
17 different countries unite to help me build the rest of the body on site at
Sam Phraya Beach Thailand. Together we showed our love to help protect
elephants is a global concern and of worldwide importance. We raised
30,000 euros to help Bring the Elephant Home establish solutions to the
human and elephant conflict. I also created merchandise of my related
artworks with Jaimee Paul from Australia to donate the proceeds 100% to
Bring the Elephant Home.
La Tortuga Feliz Service Project 2017 — To help save the
sea turtles in Costa Rica
- In the summer of 2017 I traveled with Walking Tree Travel to La Tortuga
Feliz in Costa Rica to protect the green, leatherback, and hawksbill sea
turtles from poachers. I volunteered to help make sure the turtle eggs made
it to the hatchery and that the mother turtles made it safely back into the
ocean. I participated in beach cleanups, night/day patrols, and releasing the
hatched baby sea turtles to the ocean. This incredible experience showed
me that with education, collected and recorded data, awareness, and
compassion people can change the negative impacts on the Environment.

Bring the Elephant Home Service Project 2016 — To help
save elephants in Thailand
- In the summer of 2016 I traveled with Walking Tree Travel to Thailand for a
community service project. We helped to protect the elephants and bring
awareness to the conservation efforts about the human and elephant
conflicts in this region. We also learned and helped out the locals with some
benefcial solutions for humans, elephants, and bees to co-exist with one
another in harmony.
No on O Campaign— 2015
- Communication/networking on stopping oil drilling in Hermosa Beach. I
helped Heal the Bay with the “No on O” campaign in 2015.
