The first piece in my series "Of My Heart" honors animals I've helped through conservation and my deep connections with them. This painting is inspired by a pivotal moment at age 15 when I created a jellyfish costume from recycled materials for the Heal The Bay aquarium on the Santa Monica Pier.
Volunteering for the Ban The Plastic Bag campaign, I aimed to protect sea turtles from mistaking plastic bags for jellyfish. Leading a Halloween costume parade, I educated youth about ocean conservation and unexpectedly connected with Treeman from A Documentree film. During this event, a NatGeo Travel Photographer captured a moment that solidified my path as an advocate for wildlife and the environment.
Known as “Moon Jelly Fallon” or “Jelly,” I’ve carried the jellyfish spirit into my work, fundraisers, and life lessons. Jellyfish teach us to be bold, go with the flow, and create change. This piece reflects my love and spiritual bond with them—they are part of me, and I am part of them.
