Yosemite is more than its waterfalls and majestic scenery—it holds the spirit of wildlife, a profound legacy, and the energy of native species in every rock, plant, and stream. It’s a place for healing, growth, and spiritual awakening, deeply connecting landscape, wildlife, and humanity.
In The Spirit of Yosemite, I capture the need to preserve both its iconic landscapes and endangered species like the Sierra Nevada Red Fox and Yellow-Legged Frog. Within the rock formations of Yosemite Upper Falls, their spirits are hidden, visible only when you look closer. Yosemite reminds us to look beneath the surface, both in the park and within ourselves, to uncover deeper truths.
Through my art, I’ve spent over a decade advocating for wildlife and our connection to nature. This painting is a call to preserve Yosemite’s legacy and ensure its beauty and spirit endure for generations.
